How to ADHD
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In this honest, friendly, and shame-free guide, the creator of the award-winning YouTube channel How to ADHD shares the hard-won insights and practical strategies that have helped her survive, even thrive, in a world not built for her brain.“The world of ADHD has been waiting for this book with bated breath for many years. If there’s a fairy godmother of our lot, it’s Jessica McCabe.”—Edward Hallowell, MD, coauthor of Driven to Distraction and ADHD 2.0Forget “try harder.” When your brain works differently, you need to try different. Diagnosed with ADHD at age twelve, Jessica struggled with a brain that she didn’t understand. She lost things constantly, couldn’t finish projects, and felt like she was putting more effort in than everyone around her while falling further and further behind. At thirty-two years old—broke, divorced, and living with her mom—Jessica decided to look more deeply into her ADHD challenges. She reached out to experts, devoured articles, and shared her discoveries on YouTube. In How to ADHD, Jessica reveals the tools that have changed her life while offering an unflinching look at the realities of living with ADHD. The key to navigating a world not built for the neurodivergent brain, she discovered, isn’t to fix or fight against its natural tendencies but to understand and work with them. She explains how ADHD affects everyday life, covering executive function impairments, rejection sensitivity, difficulties with attention regulation, and more. You’ll also find ADHD-specific strategies for adapting your environment, routines, and systems, including: • Boost the signal and decrease the noise. Facilitate focus by putting your goals where you can see them and fighting distractions with distractions.• Have less stuff to manage. Learn why you have trouble planning and prioritizing, and why doing more starts with doing less.• Build your “time wisdom.” Work backward when you plan, and track how long it actually takes you to do something.• Learn about your emotions. Understand how naming your emotions and letting yourself experience them can make them easier to regulate. With quotes from Jessica’s online community, chapter summaries, and reading shortcuts designed for the neurodivergent reader, How to ADHD will help you recognize your strengths and challenges, tackle “bad brain days,” and be kinder to yourself in the process.

What if you could stop paddling so hard upstream, turn your boat around, and smile and wave? What if you could lighten the load in your life--and your mind and your heart--with tiny daily actions that we all can easily do?What if everything you needed to get to such a place already existed within each and every one of us? All we needed was a roadmap, a guidebook, a blueprint to take us from others laughing at us to laughing with us? From being against a cause to creating our own? From surviving to thriving? In best-selling author Bradley Charbonneau’s latest book PLAY, you’ll uncover your own natural playful state is our default state, it's where we're supposed to be living, it's where we shine. It's where we belong. I almost don't dare use this word but it's the best word I can find at the moment. Who knows, maybe you'll read the book, arrive at your own level of PLAY, and share with me a word that you feel best describes the mindset we have now achieved. But that word, that feeling, that way of being, is, I know, I know, it's a biggie, but here it is: enlightenment. Now before you put on a robe and move to a mountaintop in Nepal, hear me out. My first book with my boys (The Secret of Kite Hill) turned a regular, daily, boring walk home from school into a magical, unforgettable, and playful story that became the launch pad for not only my writing career, but the relationship I had with my kids--and myself. Spark
The question I most get having now written 5 books together with my kids is not about the characters or the dog or the castle or if Lu will ever stop eating fries.*No. The question I get from parents is, "How in the world did you manage to do a creative project with your kids, how did it go, and how can I do it, too?"The answer was:1.) I just decided to do it,2.) it went both terribly wrong and wonderfully right, and3.) this book is how you can do it, too.One parent pulled me aside, a bit frazzled, and almost threatened me with, "If you ever hold a weekend workshop on how to do a creative project together with your kids, I'll pay whatever you want to charge."When I sat down with my then-8-year old on the red chair in early March of 2014, having just read a really bad children's book and said, "Wow, that book was pretty bad." I then immediately followed up with, "We can do better than that." My son looked at me like I was crazy (I was) and challenged me to follow through on my dare.I did.Within a month, we had a book on Amazon. Now we can boast almost all of the list below:1.) We have sold 1,000,000+ books in 89 countries and 7 languages.2.) We sometimes had to resort to bribery, coercion, and ice cream to get a chapter done.3.) Just on royalties alone, Li is eyeing a Maserati for his 16th birthday.4.) We created something from nothing and no one can ever take that away.5.) We get regular calls from Hollywood producers about making the movie versions.6.) We broke all of Audible's rules when we recorded the audiobook version--and got rejected.7.) Both boys have transformed into perfect angels who study Mandarin in their free time after violin lessons and before their volunteer work for global literacy.8.) I have a audio proof of my 10-year old narrating Chapter 8 that I can use at his wedding to embarrass him beyond his wildest nightmares and I can bring that up whenever I like to remind my boys that we are a family who shares experiences (and it's good for blackmail).9.) We did it all right.10.) We did it all wrong.11.) We did it. Period.HINT: Take the list above and choose which one you like. This book is proof that we can create something from nothing together with our kids. What you're about to embark on is a journey that no one can take away from you. We're going to create a time capsule you'll be able to cherish until your 89-year-old neighbor finally tells you she's deaf and hasn't heard a word about it.This book is going to help you create a bond with your kids. For the record:1.) We're not shooting for stardom (at least, not beyond your family).2.) It's almost guaranteed it won't win any literary awards.3.) I don't care if you sell 7 copies. (P.S. Either will you.)4.) We're shooting for the experience of starting, persevering, and finishing a creative project with parents and children that you can be proud of (or cringe over).I've got to finish up this bit here as I need to interview my teenager for our latest book, "What I Wish I Knew When I Was 13." He hates the idea so far. Usually, that's a firm indicator that it's going to be a success.Speaking of success, we're not going to succeed if we don't get started. Let us help you get started. Ready?* Lu will NEVER stop eating fries.

It also consolidates the positioning of the Foundation for an Industrial Safety Culture, highlighting what is currently considered at stake in terms of safety training, taking into account the system of constraints the different stakeholders are submitted to. It reports some success stories as well as elements which could explain the observed plateau in terms of outcome. India's Education Examination System (From Independence to the Present)
India's journey in education, particularly its examination system, has been a compelling narrative of transformation, challenges, and continuous evolution. Since gaining independence in 1947, India has navigated a complex path to develop an education system that meets the needs of a diverse and rapidly growing population. The examination system, as a critical component of this journey, reflects the broader socio-economic, cultural, and political changes that the country has undergone over the past seven decades. This book, "India's Education Examination System: From Independence to the Present," aims to provide a comprehensive examination of the evolution, reforms, and current practices within India's examination system. By delving into the historical context, key reforms, and future directions, this book offers an in-depth understanding of how India has shaped its education policies to address the aspirations and challenges of its people. The examination system, often criticized for its rigidity and high-stakes nature, has seen numerous reforms aimed at making it more inclusive, equitable, and reflective of students' diverse talents and capabilities. From the early post-independence commissions, such as the University Education Commission and the Secondary Education Commission, to contemporary policies like the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, each chapter of this book explores the milestones and turning points that have defined India's examination landscape.
Examining the Integration of Environmental Education into Curricula: An Empirical Study
This mixed-methods study evaluated the integration of environmental education (EE) into school curricula across 5 public schools in Arizona, USA, from June 2023 to May 2024. The research involved 500 students (grades 6-8), 20 teachers, and 5 administrators. Quantitative analysis revealed significant improvements in students' environmental attitudes and behaviors across all schools (p < 0.001), with large effect sizes (Cohen's d > 2.0). ANOVA showed significant differences in attitudes and behaviors across schools (F(4,495) = 3.87, p = 0.008 for attitudes; F(4,495) = 4.13, p = 0.004 for behaviors) and socio-economic backgrounds (F(2,495) = 4.75, p = 0.002 for attitudes; F(2,495) = 5.12, p = 0.001 for behaviors), but not across genders. Qualitative thematic analysis identified key factors contributing to program success, including student engagement, cultural sensitivity, and inclusivity. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of a comprehensive, adaptable approach to environmental education in enhancing students' environmental consciousness across diverse demographics.
